Researchers in the POSEP research line, linked to the concentration area in Electrical Systems, focus on developing computational models for power system planning and operation. Both deterministic and probabilistic approaches are employed to assess steady-state and dynamic conditions. In planning, priority is given to the optimal allocation of equipment, scheduling of generating units and storage systems, and the techno-economic feasibility assessment of electrical microgrids. In operation, the focus is on developing methodologies for optimal equipment maintenance scheduling, considering uncertainties, as well as for real-time analysis, optimization, and evaluation of stability and security.
