Associate professor of Mechanical Engineering
Research Interests: The research group develops research on the following topics: Flow Corrosion, CO2 and H2S Corrosion, Structural Integrity and Corrosion Failure Analysis, Stress Corrosion Cracking, Hydrogen Embrittlement, Soil Corrosion, Metallic and Non-Metallic Coatings, Corrosion inhibitors and Bio materials.
Curriculum vitae (CV):
Prof. Arnaldo César Pereira
Electroanalytical Methods
Associate Professor of Analytical Chemistry
Research Interests: In our Research Group on Polymers and Electroanalytics-GPPE whose activities are carried out at LabSensor-Â鶹ÊÓƵ, we are interested in the development of electrochemical sensors and biosensors for the determination of different analytes with different purposes (clinical, environmental, pharmacological, etc.) using different materials (printed polymers, carbonaceous materials, magnetic materials, among others). We are also interested in the field of printed electrodes based on low-cost materials such as paper, PVC, ceramics, etc.
Curriculum vitae (CV):
Prof. Horácio Wagner LEITE ALVES
Semiconductor Physics
Associate professor of Physics
Research Interests: In our New Materials Research Group (GNM) we are interested in the theoretical study of the structural, electronic, vibrational and transport properties of III-V, IV-V, IV-VI semiconductor materials, high-K oxides, 2D materials, their surfaces, interfaces, alloys and nanostructures. We also are interested in the development of new methodologies that help the available computational total energy codes to evaluate these properties as well.
Curriculum vitae (CV):
Prof. Josefredo R. Pliego Jr.
Theoretical and Computational Chemistry
Associate Professor of Physical Chemistry
Research Interest: Our research involves investigation and modeling of chemical reactions and catalysis, mainly related to fine organic chemistry. Both organocatalyst and organometallic catalysis are included. Another topic of interest is solvation modeling. Energy and sustainable chemistry are our recent interest area.
