PROGRAMS OF STUDY

 

Master's Degree in Psychology:

The program of studies of the Master's degree in Psychology totals 27 credits, of which 1 credit is equivalent to 15 hours:
 
- 9 credits in required courses activities, 3 in the general discipline of "Research Methods in Psychology", 3 in the "Research Seminar" and 3 in the mandatory course of the Research Area chosen by the student: "Theoretical and Philosophical Foundations of Psychology" (Line 1) or "Theoretical Foundations in Institutions, Health and Society in Psychology" (Line 2).
 
- 6 credits in optional courses (special topics) and / or "Special Studies" and / or "Programmed Academic Activity".
 
- 4 credits in "Dissertation Orientation".
 
- 8 credits in "Dissertation Preparation and Defense".
 
 
Ph.D. in Psychology:
 
The program of studies of the Ph.D. in Psychology totals 57 credits, with 1 credit equivalent to 15 hours:
 
- 15 credits in required courses: 3 in “Psychology Research Methodology”, 3 in “Research Seminar”, 1 in “Epistemological Assumptions and Trends in the Production of Knowledge in Psychology”, 3 in “Psychology Research: Theory and Method”, 2 in “Teacher Training Seminar” and 3 in “Theoretical and Philosophical Foundations of Psychology” (Line 1) or “Theoretical Foundations in Institutions, Health and Society in Psychology” ( Line 2).
 
- 7 credits in optional courses (“Special Topics in Psychology”) and/or “Advanced Studies”.
 
- 8 credits in required activities: 3 in “Teaching Internship”, 2 in “Academic Production” and 3 in “Research Practices”.
 
- 16 credits in “Thesis Orientation”.
 
- 3 credits in “Thesis Qualification”.
 
- 8 credits in “Elaboration and Defense of the Thesis”.
